UWLES (United Way of the Lower Eastern Shore) is a nonprofit leader and collaborator for change. We provide Dolly Parton's Imagination Library free book program, a free platform to connect nonprofits and volunteers (ShoreGetConnected), and access to prescription discounts with SingleCare. UWLES provides essential funding support for dozens of local nonprofits, focusing on improving access and empowerment for better health, education and economic well-being for all neighbors. Over 43% of local households are ALICE, struggling each month to make ends meet - living above poverty, and working, but unable to afford the basics (Asset Limited Income Constrained Employed).
